You don't have to play mah jongg to like the jewelry.
That should come as no surprise as the game is finding itself mentioned in articles published in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and local publications all over the country.
And, even though there are many who love the clack, clack, clack of mah jongg tiles on a tournament table, there are also those are enthralled with the click, click, click of the game on their computer screens.
Recently, on Twitter, Facebook and in beading forums and chat rooms, I have received inquires about mah jongg accessories from folks who just like the Gehazi pairing colors and shapes with mah jongg tile beads.
That inspired me.
More inspiration came when Dave at Rings and Things tweeted recently, "My pick for a style I'd like to see more of in 2011 = mah-jongg jewelry like @Gehazi's http://www.gehazi.com/
By the way, if you are a beader or crafter, Rings and Things is a great place to shop for an incredible array of items. Plus, there are forums, tips and techniques and a schedule of when the next Rings Bead Tour will visit a city near you! (Rings is one of my favorite shopping venues...can you tell?)
So, even though I was working on several new mah jongg pieces, the recent interest in the themed jewelry got me moving a tad faster and with more enthusiasm.![]() |

Hence the new mah jongg bracelets that offer a hip, chic look that is fun whether you play the game or not!
Each bracelet is spectacular in its own way. And, even customers who don't have a clue about mah jongg are snatching up these enchanted pieces as soon as I can craft them.
Bettye's Color-Burst Mah Jongg Bracelet became an immediate favorite for me. The colors are lively and the shapes fit perfectly with a spunky personality.
The bracelets feature gemstones, freshwater pearls, metals, bone beads, shells, glass beads and crystals. At the end of the adjustable chain is a dangle that can be worn at the front of the wrist or in the back.
The best part is that they are so much fun to make.

My 13-year-old niece is already putting some aside a handful for gifts for her schoolmates, and a 50-plus-year-old customer has ordered several for her gal pals.
What a great way to start 2011.
What until they (and you) see what's next on my creative plate.
Meanwhile, take a look at our other new mah jongg bracelets. And if this look isn't for you, don't worry, we have many other styles from classic freshwater pearl choker sets to rockin' ethnic pins and ensembles.
Don't forget the sale items.
As always, there is more to come,
Stay tuned...

I like your color-burst bracelets a whole lot. Definitely have to recommend that people browse through your website, you've got so many striking jewelry pieces there. And 2011 is the year of mah-jongg :)
